Classic Cowboys Arrive To Challenge Lightning McCoy
Several Outlaw shooters decided to descend on the range, shoot Classic Cowboy, and challenge Lightning McCoy, who always shoots in the Classic category. They registered, assembled in Tombstone’s posse (Believe it or not, Tombstone registered to shoot Classic.), and shot as Classic shooters. But Lightning couldn’t come to the party. So, none of them knows whether he could really have beaten Lightning. A word of advice to potential Classic shooters, make sure you read the rules for costuming. At least 1 cowboy wasn’t dressed to meet Classic requirements. We didn’t point it out, but next time …….

Tombstone showed that he’s a classy cowboy. On the 1st stage, he managed to somehow get a match DQ. He put up his guns, stayed with his posse, and continued to lead them through the day’s shooting. That shows class. We’re lucky to have a
shooter like him as an Ocoee Ranger. We’re all susceptible to getting a match DQ sometime, and hopefully we’ll show the class that Tombstone showed and don’t just pack up our toys and hit the trail.
67 shooters reported for duty as Ocoee Rangers, ready to posse up and battle the Clang Gang (the steel targets). When all the smoke cleared, Marshal Too Tall emerged as the TOP GUN and Anita Margarita was the Top Cowgirl Shooter. Too Tall also won 3 of the 4 Buffalo Shoot Competitions: Long Range Single Shot Rifle, Long Range Lever Action Pistol Cal. Rifle, and .22 Cal. Tin Pot won the Long Range (100 yard) Pistol competition.
