It Rained On Our Parade, But 19 Shooters Played In The Rain!

Yazoo City Gal Shooting Black Powder On A Rainy Day.

Gosh it was wet.  The morning started rainy, and then it thundered a little, lightning flashed some, and the temperature dropped enough so you could see your breath. But that wasn’t all bad: it proved that Marshal Too Tall was really a living & breathing being: it still remains to be determined whether he’s human or not. We stood around debating whether to shoot or not to shoot. In the process, 5 of us decided we were made of sugar, and we left so we wouldn’t melt. But 19 shooters pulled down their hats, scrunched up in their raincoats or slickers, and they went out to shoot …. after a bit of another delay.  It seems that the young cowboy who wrote the scenarios and had all the copies over-slept and didn’t show up. Last Kiss rose to the occasion, she used Alexander Graham Bell’s invention and called him and told him to saddle up and get his rump out to the range. He finally did, and the shoot began.

The day was dreary, but it made for some fabulous photos of black powder shooters.
