71 shooters participated in the May Shoot. If you weren’t there, you missed a terrific day. Keystone was back after recuperating from a health related gotcha. And he roared back, placing 11th overall and 1st in the Senior Gunfighter shooting class. Owlhoot Hardin was also back with us, and shooting Elder Statesman Duelist, he shot a No Misses Match, as did our other Elder Statesman Duelist, Horseshoe John.

Competition at the top of the ranks was very tight, but when the smoke cleared, Purly emerged as TOP GUN. Lulu McGoo took honors as the Top Lady Shooter. The Top 10 Shooters were (1) Purly (2) Clancy O’Conall (3) Hurricane Charly (4) Unpleasant (5) Tucson Tuco (6) Pleasant (7) Tabasco JOT (8) Jackson Longstreet (9) Ocoee Red and (10) Fast Harley.
Feather Dancer and her shooting partner, Dusty Dollar, both shot their 1st No Misses Matches. Overall, 20 shooters shot No Misses Matches: Feather Dancer, Dusty Dollar, Owlhoot Hardin, Horseshoe John, Purly, Clancy O’Conall, Tucson Tuco, Pleasant, Jackson Longstreet, Fast Harley, Sheriff Lord, Sledge, El Carrera, Wildcat Wilkey, Ranger Roger, Delta Desperado, Raw Flint, Tenn Smoke, Hoss Carpenter and Cherokee Slim.
Competition in the Long Range Lever Action Rifle section of the Buffalo Shoot was fierce, for a while. 3 shooters were tied for 1st. Then Marshal Too Tall shot, hit all of his shots, and claimed 1st place in that event. In the other Buffalo Shoot events, Tenn Smoke was top .22 Cal. Shooter, Yankee Dutchman was the Top Long Range Single Shot Rifle Shooter, Tenn Smoke was the Top 50 Yard Pistol Shooter and Too Tall was the Top Long Range Pistol Shooter.
