Memorial Day Rangers Blast Steel Bandits

Attendance was down a bit at the May, Memorial Day Shoot.  Several shooters ventured out to Mississippi to go rabbit hunting. Purly said something about a bunch of shooters going to Rabbit Ridge. Hope they got some for the pot.  That’s a long way to go, if they didn’t get any rabbits. Ocoee Red was 1 of the rabbit hunters, but he left Shez A Pistol to help control the steel bandits on our range.

When all the announcements were being made, Shez A Pistol had 1 of her own, and a pretty good one. It went something like this. “He told me to walk the range and pick up any paper or anything that should have been put in the trash cans. Well, we’re all big people. I’m not your wife. I’m not your mother. And I’m not your maid. So, pick up after yourself as you go.”  Apparently, everyone did. Shucks, why would you argue with a gal packin’ 2 pistols?

Special Shoot  In September

We’ll have a “Special Shoot” in September, exactly what is still in the planning stage, led by Purly and ably assisted by Fast Harley. We’ll have fewer categories for that shoot, and all certificates will be preprinted to be awarded the day of the shoot. So, names and photos of winners won’t be there. We’ll have certificates for category winning shooters and for the Top 10 Shooters.

We need a catchy name for the Shoot.  One possibly is “Lead Mine Valley Shoot-Out!” The range is located in Lead Mine Valley. Maybe, you can think of a more nifty sounding name.  If so, contact Purly (423-580-4387) or Fast Harley (423-263-3518), and tell 1 of them your suggestion.
