Pistols, Posses and Perspiration – It Was Hot!

 The July Shoot was a dandy. 72 shooters ventured out to experience the pleasure of pistols and possibilities. Classic Cowboys Arrive To Challenge Lightning McCoy

Several Outlaw shooters decided to descend on the range, shoot Classic Cowboy, and challenge Lightning McCoy, who always shoots in the Classic category. They registered, assembled in Tombstone’s posse (Believe it or not, Tombstone registered to shoot Classic.), and shot as Classic shooters.  But Lightning couldn’t come to the party.  So, none of them knows whether he could really have beaten Lightning.  A word of advice to potential Classic shooters, make sure you read the rules for costuming. At least 1 cowboy wasn’t dressed to meet Classic requirements. We didn’t point it out, but next time …….

Lightnings Strike More Than Once!

Have you ever heard the old saying, “Lightning never strikes twice?”  Well, that’s not exactly true, at least it wasn’t at the May shoot. At least 2 shooters, Ms. Dee Lightning and Colonel Mortimer unlimbered their Colt Lightning rifles and tantalized the targets on all 5 stages.
