Nope! It Didn’t Rain. The Sun Even Came Out And
Shined On Us.
Some of us were complaining about the rain, as we unlimbered our gear, but the Rev. Adam Jones said, “Quit complaining. It’s not shoot time yet. It’ll stop before we shoot.” And it did. The sun even came out, and for the 61 shooters who came and stayed to shoot, 1 left, it was a good shoot. The stages were fast, and more than 1 Gunfighter said that the stages were really good for Gunfighters. And there were lots of Gunfighters: 8 of them, including Last Kiss. She shot in the Gunfighter class. In fact, she placed 3rd in Gunfighter competition and 6th overall. Of the 61 shooters, 7 of them were lady shooters.

Winners of the Buffalo Shoot Competitions were: Long Range Pistol – Tin Pot …. Long Range Single Shot Rifle – Marshal Too Tall, after a shoot off with Fast Harley … Long Range Lever Action Rifle – Marshal Too Tall, after a shoot off with Sundance McNeyman … .22 Cal. – Marshal Too Tall.
When you see category winners, remember that if only 1 person registered to shoot in a category, we placed them in the closest category that matched, in the judgment of the administrator. For example 4 Lady Shooters were grouped in the class Lady Shooter, because there weren’t enough shooters in their individual categories. And speaking of Lady Shooters, Calico Nicole was grouped in that group, and she’s a Buckaroo. That surprised this Word-scratcher. From Calico’s presence and maturity, he and his able assistant thought she was a Young Gun. This young Lady Shooter is a credit to herself, her father (Bad Arm Slim), her grandfather (Bad Eye Tom) and good shooting companion to us all.
