Long Guns

Long Guns in

Ocoee Rangers, like Cowboy & Cowgirl Shooters elsewhere, shoot many kinds of firearms.  Here’s a sample in 1 guncart: a "66 Winchester Yellow Boy, 3 ’87 Winchester shotguns, and a "92 Winchester.

Pistols Saddle I

Lots of folks shoot Ruger revolvers.  They’re modestly priced, shoot very well, and are virtually indestructable. This pair shoots to point of aim shooting 6.2 grains of Unique powder and 250 grain bullets. Most folks shoot lighter loads.

Vinegaroons Long Guns

Here are a couple of Vinegarroon’s long guns: a Winchester Lightning rifle and an ’87 Winchester shotgun. Vinegarroon is a master engraver.  These guns have been nickle plated and excellently engraved.  The stocks have been carved and polished. These are outstanding examples of Vinegarroon’s artistic abilities.

Win 66 by Jerry Henry

This ’66 Winchester belongs to Dustin Clays and was engraved by master engraver Vinegaroon.  As Dustin Clays once said, "I took my rifle over to Jerry, and when he gave it back to me, it was all scratched up."

Win Lever Shotgun

This is a real 1887 Winchester lever action shotgun, not a reproduction. At the November shoot in 2005, 1 of the stages contained a turkey shoot element and every cowboy & cowgir shot this shotgun in competition to win turkeys. This gun belongs to T-Bone Angus.

Here’s 1 of Double Eagle’s classic six-guns. It’s a real Colt that has been nickle plated and engraved by Vinegarroon and dressed with real ivory grips. And Double Eagle shoots it very accurately. Click on Full Size and take a closer look.
